“For 25 years I have been keeping my scoliosis curvature from getting worse by having monthly Rolfing sessions. In general this has been successful but my spine and ribs in places remain ‘locked up’. Recently I started seeing a somatics practitioner, Laura M Gates, and this modality has helped in increasing my spinal and rib function, more so than any other modality. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results I receive from my somatics sessions. I am provided an exercise sequence by the somatics practitioner and perform this sequence daily. I have come to be more in touch with my body and feel the positive changes that gradually happen to my spine. I am extremely pleased with my improvement in spinal function as a result of performing somatics.”
